CLEVELAND - Reuben Rink Beaver, 63, of Cleveland, quietly slipped away from his earthly home on Tuesday, June 3, 2014. He had many health issues, but death was unexpected.
Born May 27, 1951, in Rowan County, he was the son of the late Marshall G. and Frances Rothrock Beaver. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Marsha Sue "Susie" Beaver, in 1957.
Reuben was a West Rowan High School Class of 1969 graduate.
He was an active Mason and Past Master of the Scotch-Ireland Masonic Lodge 154 AF&AM. He was also a member Shiners of North America and the Oasis Temple of the Shrine, Charlotte.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sisters: Tamie Kennedy (Jeff) and Janelle Morgan (Mark), all of Cleveland; nephews Pastor Eddie Smith, Dylan Morgan and Brad Kennedy. His little dog, Roscoe, will miss him very much.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Friday at the Summersett Funeral Home and will be at the home of his sister, Tamie Kennedy, at other times.
Service: A Memorial Service and Masonic Service will be conducted 3 p.m. Friday (June 6) at Summersett Memorial Chapel with Pastor Eddie Smith, minister at Trinity Wesleyan Church, officiating and Mason Tony Sherum.
Memorials: We, Reuben's family, request no flowers and that memorials be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29604, an organization near and dear to Reuben's heart.
