Lydia 'Boots' R. Hatley

ROCKWELL - Lydia "Boots" R. Hatley, 83, of Rockwell, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Aug. 22, 2014.
She was born Jan. 1, 1931 in Rowan County, a daughter of the late Haul Rusher and Lillie Foster Rusher.
Lydia attended the schools of Rowan County. She was a retired fork lift operator with Fiber Industries. She was a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rockwell for many years.
Lydia was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and friend to many, who will be missed dearly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Rayvon Hatley; granddaughter Brandi Hoffner; and daughter-in-law Peggy Hoffner.
Left to cherish her memory is son, Rev. Dr. Albert Leslie "Buddy" Hoffner of Rockwell; daughters, Brenda Rummage and husband Gary and Cathy Lowman and husband Bob, all of Gold Hill, Sheila Lentz and husband Wayne, of Granite Quarry; step-children, Sylvia Doyle and husband Jimmy and Terry Hatley and wife Mitzi, all of Salisbury; 12 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2014 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2070 Emanuel Church Rd., Rockwell. Service will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Bruce Sheeks officiating. Interment will be at Brookhill Memorial Gardens in Rockwell.
