Laura B. Hall

SALISBURY - Laura Brinkley Hall, 86, of Salisbury, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2014, at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.

Born April 16, 1928, in Wake County, she was the daughter of the late Willie Wiley Brinkley and Minnie Viola Carpenter Brinkley.

Mrs. Hall was educated in Granville County Schools and attended Catawba College.

She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Gastonia, and was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Homer Gibson Hall, on April 28, 2012.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Jeannette H. Reid of Clemmons, Robert N. Hall of Kernersville and Laura Ann Hall of Durham; and many nieces and nephews, including Carol and Dean Kluttz of Salisbury, Jean Dinkins of Clemmons, Donna Parrish of Charleston, S.C., Lehman and Gayle Brinkley of Creedmoor, Judy and Gene Smith of Durham and Bonnie and John Roberts of Creedmoor; great-niece Allison Dinkins Malloy of Fairfax, Va.; and great-nephew Robert Parrish Dinkins of Miami, Fla.

Reception: A catered reception with the family will be from 12:30-1:45 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Oaks.

Service: A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday (Aug. 30) at Trinity Oaks, 728 Klumac Road, Salisbury, with Chaplain Gene Bruce and Rev. Rick Williams, Vicar at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, officiating.

Graveside: A graveside service will be conducted following the memorial service at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church Cemetery, 4401 Statesville Blvd., Salisbury.
