Helen S. Honeycutt

SALISBURY - Helen Swicegood Honeycutt, 97, of Salisbury, died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011, at Lexington Health Care Center, Lexington.

Born Aug. 4, 1914, in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late John Martin Swicegood and Florence Lee Barnes Swicegood.

Mrs. Honeycutt attended Rowan County schools and retired from Eric Anders. She was a lifelong member of Enon Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Honeycutt, on Nov. 12, 1969; four sisters, Grace Waters, Willie Shoaf, Thelma "Tony" Bowen and Dorothy Jones; two brothers, W. Leo Swicegood and Roy W. Swicegood; and twin great-grandchildren, Joshua and Emma Patterson.

Survivors include her daughter, Carol Rinehardt and husband Michael of High Point; granddaughter Alison Patterson and husband Heath of High Point; two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Anna Patterson of High Point; and sister Mary Lanning of Pacolet Mills, S.C.

Services: A graveside service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 10) at Rowan Memorial Park. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Enon Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Warden, minister, and Rev. Beverly Gaska, minister of Summerfield United Meth-odist Church, officiating.

Visitation: The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
