Rhonda Michelle Schmidt

KANNAPOLIS - Rhonda Michelle Schmidt, 45, of Kannapolis, went home to be with Jesus and all of his angels on Nov. 25, 2012, at Tucker Hospice House surrounded by family.

Rhonda was born Oct. 21, 1967, in Iredell County to Luther Taylor Beam Jr. and Elouise Edwards Beam. She was a member of Unity United Methodist Church in Kannapolis.

Rhonda loved taking trips to the mountains, beach and White Lake with her family and friends. Rhonda especially enjoyed spending time with her family and favorite dog Ruby every chance she got.

In addition to her parents, Rhonda is survived by her spouse, Ronald Louis Schmidt; two sons, Kendal Schmidt of Kannapolis and Nicholas Schmidt of Kannapolis; sister Julie Beam Hedge and husband Mark of Kannapolis; two nieces, Allysan and Madysan Hedge; and a special friend, Mark Fife.

Service and Visitation: A Memorial Service will be held on Nov. 30, at 2 p.m. at Unity United Methodist Church in Kannapolis, conducted by Pastor Tim Whittington and Pastor Carl Settle. The family will receive friends at the church starting at 1 p.m. prior to the service.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Unity United Methodist Church, 8505 Unity Church Road, Kannapolis, NC 28081, to either the Meals on Wheels program or the Building Fund.
