Billy Charles Coble

CHINA GROVE - Billy Charles Coble, 80, of China Grove, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at his residence.

He was born Dec. 10, 1931, in Davie County, the son of the late Jesse Coble and Rosa Broadway Coble.

Mr. Coble worked for Cone Mills and retired from China Grove Cotton Mills, where he worked in the maintenance department. Billy served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife Mary Cress Coble; daughter Beverly Coble; and son Ricky Coble.

Those left to cherish his memories are son Wayne Coble of Salisbury; daughters Wanda Robeson (Andy) of Cheraw and Rita Neel of Kannapolis; brother Carl Coble of Indiana; sisters "Boots" Kepley, Doris Shives (Vic) and Carolyn Coble, all of Salisbury; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one newborn great-grandchild.

Visitation: 1:30-2:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7 at Rowan Memorial Park Mausoleum, 4125 Franklin Community Center Road, Salisbury, NC

Graveside Service: 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7 at Rowan Memorial Park.

Military rites will be performed by the Lyerly Honor Guard.
