Joseph Earnhardt Obituary
CONCORD - Joseph Carl Earnhardt, 74, of Concord, passed away Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at Tucker Hospice House.
Joseph was born March 17, 1938, in Rowan County to the late Hilbert William Earnhardt and Zelia Propst Earnhardt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William E. Earnhardt; and brother-in-law, Jim Troutman.
He was a member of Pitts Baptist Church and enjoyed playing golf. Joseph loved his church and his family.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Griffin Earnhardt of the home; son Joseph Earnhardt and wife Glenda of Concord; daughter Debra Loflin and husband Ricky of Albemarle; brother L.A. Earnhardt and wife Jimmie of Salisbury; sisters Joan Troutman of Salisbury and Lynn Coughenour and husband Paul of Salisbury; sister-in-law Martha Earnhardt of Columbia, S.C.; grandchildren Tiffani Earnhardt and Aaron Loflin.
Visitation and Service: The family will receive friends at Pitts Baptist Church, 140 Pitts School Road, Concord, on Sunday, Jan. 13 from 1 until 2 p.m. Funeral services will follow at the church at 2 p.m., with Rev. Scott Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
Memorials: May be made to Cabarrus Hospice and Palliative Care 5003 Hospice Lane Kannapolis, NC 28081; or Pitts Baptist Church, Building Fund, 140 Pitts School Road, Concord, NC 28027.

Joyce and family. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Joe. I always enjoyed speaking with him while walking around the block. He was always standing out in the front yard and would have something sweet to say. If we weren't walking we were in the car and he would ALWAYS throw his hand up. Ya'll have always been great neigbors and have known you for a long time even before we move into Tay-mor. When visiting my sister Denise Mincey. We have always enjoyed knowing you both. Joe's smile and friendliness will be missed by everyone who passes your home. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.
