Raymond Alfred Davies

CLEVELAND - Mr. Raymond Alfred Davies, 83, of Cleveland, passed away Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at the W.G. Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury.

Born Feb. 5, 1929, in Sharon, Pa., to the late Florence Weisenstein Davies and Alfred Harris Davies, he attended Purdue University and then served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Davies served and was injured in the Korean War.

While living in Brookfield, Ohio, he served as a Community School Board Member. He was of Methodist faith.

Mr. Davies was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Harris Davies.

He is survived by his sister-in-law, Nancy Davies of Cleveland; and two nephews, Ramon A. Davies and wife Teri of Cleveland and Roger A. Davies of New York City. Three great-nephews, Aaron, Daniel and Benjamin Davies, and one great-great-nephew, Landon Thomas Davies, all of Phoenix, Ari., also survive.

Burial will be held at Brookfield Town Cemetery in the family plot in Brookhill, Ohio, at a later date.
