Helen Stokes Kluttz

SALISBURY - Helen Goodman Stokes Kluttz, 81, of Salisbury, went on to be with her Lord on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 at her home.

Born Jan. 26, 1932 in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Laura Jane Waller Goodman and William Mack Goodman.

Mrs. Kluttz was educated at the Morgan School. She was employed for Cannon Mill for over 30 years and after retirement she owned and operated Mimi's Nursery. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.

Mrs. Kluttz was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Hugh Stokes on May 3, 1972; her second husband, George T. Kluttz, Jr. on Jan. 29, 2013; her sisters, Mildred Goodman Freeman and Shirley Goodman Fesperman and a brother, Raymond Goodman.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Donna Stokes Mahaley and husband Rick Andrew Mahaley of Salisbury, Janie Stokes Lane and husband Spencer Lane of Salisbury; brother, H. Ray Goodman of Salisbury; grandchildren, John Ryan Mahaley and wife Jessica Jones Mahaley, Tyler Andrew Mahaley and Abigail Spencer Lane; step-son, George W. Kluttz and wife Phyllis of Salisbury; step-daughters, Susan Goodman and husband Ricky of Salisbury, Sally Hillard and husband Ron of Rockwell; step-grandchildren, Mark Angell, Leigh Ann Sidelinker and husband John, Tabatha Stewart and husband Billy, Chris Walker and husband Eric, Chad Moss and wife Nicole, Sherry Peeler, Beverly Thompson, Kelly Kluttz; numerous step great-grandchildren and two step great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation and Services: The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013 at the Summersett Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Tuesday at the Summersett Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Keith Mason, minister of Community Baptist Church and Rev. Joe Black, minister of Eastside Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Eastside Baptist Church Cemetery.
