William 'TV' Cornelison

SPENCER - William James (TV) Cornelison, 69, of Spencer, passed away Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at Magnolia Gardens Extended Care Community in Spencer. He had been in declining health for three years.
Born Dec. 30, 1943, in Boston, Mass., he was the son of the late Wiley House Cornelison and Anne Monahan Cornelison. He was a graduate of North Rowan High School and attended North Carolina State University.
Mr. Cornelison was employed for 30 years by Silver Eagle (Whitten Distributing) before retiring. A member of Spencer Moose Lodge, he was an avid sports enthusiast from his years as a youthful participant to his later years of support for his favorite teams. He loved the beach and looked forward to his yearly fishing trips.
He is survived by his loving sister, Donna Cornelison Rhew and her husband Tim of Moncks Corner, S.C.; his devoted friend, Betty (Winkie) Leonard of Linwood; his cousins, Nan Linville Cheek of Winston-Salem and Mary Ann Farrington Gosney of Lucas, Texas; and many dear family members and close friends.
Visitation: A visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m., Sunday, March 3, at the Summersett Funeral Home.
Service: Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Summersett Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Michael Hollingsworth officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery on Long Ferry Road.
