Harold 'Bud' Mullis

KANNAPOLIS - Harold (Bud) Alexander Mullis, 76 of Kannapolis, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at his residence.

Mr. Mullis was born in Cabarrus County June 17, 1936, a son of the late Charles F. and Bettie Lemley Mullis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James (Duck) Mullis and Johnnie Mullis; and two sisters, Betty Lou Phillips and Willie Price.

He retired in 2002 from Cannon Mills where he was a dryer tender.

Mr. Mullis is survived by a brother, Grady C. Mullis and wife Alda of Kannapolis; a sister, Hilda Mullis Bradley of Mint Hill; several nieces and nephews, and his beloved pet, Little Boy.

Service and Visitation: Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 12 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel with Rev. Mike Hubbard officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Friday prior to the services at the funeral home.
