SALISBURY - Ned Eugene Earnhardt, 66, of Salisbury, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2013 at his residence.
He was born, July 24, 1946 in Cabarrus County, the son of the late Roy W. and Maggie Eudy Earnhardt.
Ned attended Cabarrus County Schools. He worked at Cone Mills and retired from Performance Fibers. Ned attended Bethel United Methodist Church. He loved fishing, bass tournaments, gardening with his grandson Colby, watching races with his granddaughter Madison and enjoyed taking his grandchildren to the beach.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by brothers, Lawson, Billy and Ted Earnhardt.
Left to cherish his memories are wife of 33 years, Brenda Lovingood Earnhardt; sons, David Earnhardt of Rockwell, James (Angie) Lovingood of Salisbury and Timmy Earnhardt (Melissa) of Rockwell; brother, Joe Earnhardt (Debbie) of Kannapolis; sisters, Frieda Shoe (George) of Mt. Pleasant, Peggy Wagoner (George) of Milling Port and Mary Harkey of Concord; grandchildren, Madison Lovingood, Colby Lovin-good, Amber Lovingood and Winter Earnhardt.
Visitation: 12:30-2 p.m., Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Bethel United Methodist Church, 2380 Long Ferry Rd., Salisbury, NC 28146. The family will receive friends at the residence at other times.
Funeral Service: 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Bethel United Methodist church the Rev. Kelly Ottinger officiating. Burial to follow at Rowan Memorial Park Cemetery.
