SALISBURY - Anita Linton Collins, 72, of Salisbury, passed away Sept. 13, 2013, at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury.
Born Aug. 31, 1941, in Savannah, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Louise Kent and Samuel Percy Linton.
Anita was a homemaker and a member of Gold Hill Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son Joseph Darnell "Sparky" Collins Jr.; and brother Samuel Linton.
Those left to cherish her memory are husband Joseph Darnell Collins Sr.; son Kelly Lynn Collins of Salisbury; daughters Tonia Hurst of Salisbury, Selina Lynch of Salisbury, Tina Redmiles of Panama City, Fla., Star Collins of Salisbury; 20 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Service and Visitation: A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15 at High Rock Church - East Campus, 7800 Bringle Ferry Rd., Salisbury, NC, 28146, with Pastor Jeremy White officiating. Visitation will follow at the church, with additional visitation at Tonia and Mike Hurst's residence.
