Letitia 'Chuckie' Sheely

KANNAPOLIS - Letitia "Chuckie" Sheely, 65, of Sandy Court, Kannapolis, passed away Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013 at the Tucker Hospice House.

She was born in Rowan County on Oct. 2, 1948 to the late Warren Sheely and the late Joretha Lowery Sheely.

Letitia was a 1968 graduate of Aggrey Memorial High School and worked at Cannon Mills. She was a member of Sandy Ridge A.M.E. Zion Church where she served on the Deaconess Board, Senior Usher Board, Sunday School, Life Members and Class Leader.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Denise Luckey.

Those left to cherish fond memories include three daughters, Edina Lynn Robinson (Luther) of Kannapolis, Lynda Denise Sheely-Evins (Garry) of Suffolk, Va., Kendria Lenee` Wilson (Kelvin) of Shelby; two sons, William Barber III (Mahndesha) of Tocoma, Wash., Keith Barber (Patricia) of Denver, Colo.; nine grandchildren; four sisters, Jeffrie Sheely of Landis, Frances Glenn, Janet Heiligh both of Salisbury, Karen Brown of China Grove; two brothers, Marvin B. Sheely, Keith W. Sheely both of Landis; two brothers-in-law, William Glenn, Reginald Heiligh both of Salisbury; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Visitation and Services: Services will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013 at Sandy Ridge A.M.E. Zion Church. Visitation will be from 1:30-2 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
