I met Mr Welch when I was a young kid running around Corbin Hills Golf Course. He always had a story to tell me and if it weren't for his son, Charlie, I would have never learned my multiplication tables. He would always quiz me on them as a young child. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this difficult time.

Barbara, Harry, Walter, Jane, and Chas. This past year i lost a great friend and an idol. I dreamed of being a great athlete as a kid. I was not, but I could follow the careers of Harry and Charles. To me, the year they won the Labor Day Tournament was as if my favorite team had won the Super Bowl. I can remember Harry playing number 7 outside our yard many years ago. If I was playing in the yard, he would always come over to talk to me. My folks and you have always had a special relationship. I have pictures from a Miami trip. My Dad talked about that often. When Harry went to Houston, my Dad joined him there. When my Dad passed, Harry told me "he was the best friend I ever had." Somehow I hope we can keep that friendship alive. Grandchildren and great grandchildren must know that Judge, Charlie, and Harry Lee were special. KK

As a Dental Hygienist; Harry and Walter were patients of mine for many years. So many people go in and out of our lives over the years; but, Harry was such a special person for me to know! He always treated me with much respect and I remember him in a special way. I want you to know he touched many lives.

Not sure if you recall, but I used to be Dr. Goodman's secretary. I had the pleasure of knowing all of the Welches. Mr. Welch was always so pleasant, he will be greatly missed.

I was hired as one of Mr. Welch's medical caregivers from 1-06 until his final hour. I was actually there when he left his earthly body and began his new life. I can truly say that I am proud to have had the opportunity to meet and know this man! He was loved by all around him and accomplished more in one lifetime than most could do with two lives. He stayed strong until his last breath was drawn! In fact, in many ways I think he was stronger than many of us knew. He left quietly and peacefully! He actually squeezed my hand minutes before it happened! Although he was in a deep sleep, in his own way I think he was letting me know he was about to take his journey and he was just fine! This buddy of mine.....I often referred to him as "BIG HARRY" has changed my life forever!

Have a nice trip….”BIG!”…….your buddy Robert!
