Doris Baynard Obituary
KANNAPOLIS - Doris Page Baynard, age 73, entered the gates of Heaven on Feb. 22, 2015, at CMC-NorthEast, Concord, after a short illness.
She was born July 25, 1941, in Rowan County, the daughter of the late Frank Page and Helen Patten Page. Doris was a graduate of Landis High School.
Doris retired from Pillowtex Corp. (formerly Cannon Mills Company) where she worked for many years. Her family fondly remembers her as a dedicated Christian lady who was extremely proud of her children. She also adored her late husband and spent many quality years together with him.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Hicks Baynard.
Survivors to cherish her memory are her son, Roger Baynard of Sumter, S.C.; her daughter, Robin (Danny) Childress of Kannapolis; two sisters, Joyce Honeycutt and Linda O'Neal, both of Kannapolis; two grandsons, Jeremy (Lory) Childress, Joshua (Crystal) Childress; and two great-grandchildren, Britany Childress and Joshua Childress, Jr.
Arrangements: A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26 at West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove, officiated by Rev. Carl Fosdick. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Whitley's Funeral Home, Kannapolis, prior to the service.
Memorials: May be made to Enochville Church of God, 199 N. Enochville Ave., Kannapolis, NC 28081.

Doris will dearly be missed. She was a good sister and I Loved her. But now she is out of pain and with God and reunited with family that has gone on before her. Will be remembering the family left behine in prayer.
