Donna Starnes

1964 - 2016

Donna Ruth Styers Starnes, 52, of Rockwell, died at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis on Tuesday, May 17, 2016. Mrs. Starnes was born in Concord, Jan. 5, 1964, a daughter of the late James and Annie Mark Styers. Donna was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School and met her husband, Richard Lee Starnes, at the Wagon Wheel in Salisbury. They were married at the Eastern Rowan Saddle Club where they were both members. Donna loved her God, church family and her horse, Misty. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed camping and riding horses with her husband and friends. She was employed with CVG in Concord for over 20 years. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are their children, Colton Lee Starnes and wife Brittany and Jennifer Lynn Starnes; brothers, Mike Styers of Concord and Jimmy Styers of Salisbury; sister, Vonnie Robinette of Landis; and grandchildren, Montana Joyce Pardue, Emaleigh Cheyenne Starnes and Elijah Cole Starnes. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Tucker Hospice House and the Cancer Institute in Georgia. Funeral Service: 2 p.m. Friday, May 20, 2016, in the Chapel of the Mausoleum at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
