I had the honor of being the flower girl in Paw Paw Don's and Maw Maw's wedding. I will never forget that day. I always had three grandpa's and it's hard to believe they are all gone. But as I remember them all, I will remember them with great respect, love and admiration. I consider myself lucky to have had three grandpa's and especially lucky that the third was Paw Paw Don.

Earlier this week the world lost another hero. A hero from the era that could never be repeated. An era that helped shape the foundation of the world and this great nation, and Don was one of those shapers. He was a good solid hard working man that was true to his word and to his family. He was a devoted husband,Grandfather and friend. There are so many things I remember about him, his smile his wit his character. Don Leazer was a great man and I will miss him. (Maw Maw) my thoughts and prayers go out to you. I love you and remember God loves you.

Lucille, I just learned of Don's passing. I am in Florida at a firearms instructor conference and have not been able to check my e-mail. I learned of this from an e-mail from Hal, Jr. I am terribly sorry that I will not be able to attend the service, but I want you to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, and that I still hold you in the highest esteem. You were always fair and kind to me. I always enjoyed my conversations with Don and considered him a part of my inner circle of people. If I can help you, or if you just need to talk to somebody, you have my number.

Paw Paw Don was the best. I will always remember his positive attitude. When you asked him how he was doing he would reply with " Every day is a good day." My love and prayers are with you Maw Maw.

Dear Lucille & Family;
All of you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Our deepest condolences to all of you.I am so glad my dad & I met Donald. He was quiet but very sweet man. He gave my dad a beautiful walking stick (Donald carved) when dad met him for the first time about 3 years ago. Dad said he will have good memories of Donald and cherish it always.
Donald was on leave from WWII, Jack was 10 years old at the time - Donald introduced Chocolate Malt Balls (Whoppers) to him. Jack is addicted to them still. They sit right next to his favorite chair.
Donald will be missed very much at the Cauble Reunion!
May God Bless and Comfort All of You
Love you all;
Cousin Jack & Rosa Earnhardt

We are left with 28yrs of warm and wonderful memories when you married our Mom and took on five more children.These memories will be forever in our hearts. I'll always remember how we exchanged "I Love You's". But one day before you became so sick it was a little different. I told you on the phone that I loved you and the response from you was "I know you love me." With that response I glowed because I knew I had accomplished what I had set out to do...assure you of my love.You left knowing I loved you and I am here knowing that you loved me too. What a wonderful feeling to love and be loved. LIFE IS GOOD AND MINE WAS RICHER BECAUSE OF YOU. I LOVE YOU. NIECEY
