Eichbauer, Nancy Ruth Harwood - West Jordan  
Nancy Ruth Harwood Eichbauer 1940 ~ 2014 Nancy peacefully passed away December 18, 2014 surrounded by her family from, Dementia-Alzheimer's. Nancy was born on August 21, 1940 in Salt Lake City Utah to Elbert Halterman and Ruthella Ann Garrick Harwood. She was the oldest daughter of six children and grew up in Salt Lake City where she graduated from South High School. She met Mike Eichbauer as a teenager, the love of her life. They were married August 8, 1958 in the Salt Lake Temple. They raised four children together in West Valley City, Utah. She was a faithful member of the LDS church and held many callings, her favorite being young women's leader and stake camp director. She worked at Bennion Jr High School for 17 years and just loved working with kids. She had a positive impact and made life -long friendships with many of those kids and co-workers. She was a wonderful mother who loved her family unconditionally and selflessly, always putting her family first. She loved being with family but also loved to travel, go camping, and just "go". She hated to sit around. She loved being with friends, bowling, cooking, crafting, collecting spoons, and playing games but most of all being a Nana to her 7 grandkids and 5 great grandkids. Mike and Nancy spent their retirement years in Holladay. She is survived by her children Bart, Michelle (Jerry) Ricketts and Becky (Darrin) Loertscher. Her grandchildren Natalie, Whitney, Samantha (Blake), Tyler, Gabrielle, Caitlin and Madeline, and her great grandchildren Michael, Mari, Lia, Sebastian and Olivia and her brothers Buddy (Donna), Gary (Stephanie) and Elray (Carol) Harwood and, sister Lynette Canty. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Mike, son Mike Jr. and Sister Diana Morgan. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Carrington Court, Milcreek hospice and Haven home healthcare for the care they gave her. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 23, 2014 1:00 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, where family will receive friends at a visitation Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m and again on Tuesday one hour prior to the service. Evans, Darlene James - Phoenix  
1927 ~ 2014 Our beloved mother and grandmother Darlene James Evans died peacefully on December 17, 2014 in Mesa, Arizona, at age 87. Born December 10, 1927, she cherished growing up in Salt Lake City with five sisters, later graduated from the University of Utah in elementary education, and taught school for several years. She served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and married Ralph W. Evans Jr. in 1950. Darlene was a faithful member of the LDS Church all her life, and blessed the lives of many with her bright and independent spirit, serving as a teacher and leader in many capacities. She loved reading, playing the piano, drawing, and as a Daughter of Utah Pioneers and museum docent she passed on her love and excitement of history to many, including her 23 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her five children: Kathy (Mark), Julie (Hanno), Mark, Scott (Emily), David (Antje); her sisters: Betty, Connie (Howard) and JoAne (Jim). Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 27, at the University Ward Chapel, 160 S University Street, Salt Lake City, Utah, 84102. Friends may call at 10am prior to services. Evett, Donold E. - Bountiful  
1929 ~ 2014 Bountiful, Utah-Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away on December 22, 2014 due to a long illness. Don was born October 19, 1929 in Bellingham, Washington and married Kathryn LaMarr on March 7, 1952 later solomnized in the Swiss Temple. Proceeded in death by his daughter Linda Beckstead. He is survived by his wife Kathryn, children: Gary (Lisa), Cindy Forsgren (Rob), David, Donald (Mardi), 17 grandchildren, and 4 great-grand-children. Shortly after high school he joined the US Army and was involved in the first occupation of Japan in 1945. He later served in the US Air Force where he retired as a Lt. Colonel after 27 years of service. After retirement he moved to Bountiful Utah, where he was employeed as a supervisor at the SLC Airport. He then changed jobs and served as a manager for Salt Lake City Transportation. Don was an aviation historian. He built many accurate model airplane replicas, and he published many articles and photographs. Don loved sports, and participated competitively in many baseball, softball, bowling, football and ping pong leagues and tournaments. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 27, at the LDS Church located at 965 Oakwood Drive in Bountiful. A viewing will be held at Russon Brothers Mortuary (295 North Main St. in Bountiful) Friday, December 26, from 6:00-8:00 p.m, and at the church Saturday one hour prior to the service. Interment Bountiful City Cemetery.
