Hurd, Beverley Ruth Burton  
Beverley Ruth Burton Hurd (80) slipped gently from this world to the next to be with her eternal companion on June 24, 2016. She left with many family members by her side. Beverley was born August 25th 1935 in Murray, Utah. She was the second oldest of 9 children born to Phyllis and Samuel Burton. Her parents later divorced. She attended West High School in Salt Lake City where she met her future husband, Dean Edward (Ed) Hurd. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on June 3, 1955. Together they were blessed with 3 children and Beverley was able to stay home to raise them. Ed was a partner in Custom Milling and Supply in Salt Lake City. She and Ed had many opportunities to travel and to ride together on their Harley which they both enjoyed. Ed passed in 1998. Beverley was not the same after Ed's passing and suffered a stroke several years ago. She struggled with many complications over the years since. She was most recently a resident of Mt. Ogden Rehabilitation Center (Ogden) where she lived for the last few years. Beverley was preceded in death by Ed, her parents, her brothers, Eddie and Brent, and her sister Shirley. She is survived by siblings, Jackie, Samuel, Donna, Carol, and Verna and many of their spouses and children. She is survived by her children: Dale Hurd (Peggy) of Boise, Idaho, Susan Sodoma (Peter) of Layton, and Patricia Lords (Harry) of West Haven, 6 grandchildren, their spouses, and 7 great grandchildren. The family wishes to thank those who've cared for her at Mt. Ogden Rehabilitation and Brighton Home Health and Hospice. Funeral will be a closed family event.

Jensen, M. Boyd - Bountiful  
1934 ~ 2016 M. Boyd Jensen, age 82, beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather, passed away on June 22, 2016. Boyd was born in Murray, Utah on May 31, 1934. Boyd grew up in Idaho and Crescent, Utah. He married Margaret Louise Brown on June 20, 1953 in Murray, Utah. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Boyd was a master brick layer for many years. He joined the Utah Highway Patrol where he served bravely. After he retired, he served as Bailiff in the Davis County Courts. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved Sports!! He enjoyed watching every one of them with his sons and attended as many of his grandchildren's activities as possible. Boyd is survived by his children; Julie (John) Waite of Canton, Michigan, Tammy (Rick) Boyce of Layton, Michael Jensen of Farmington, Monte (Gretta) Jensen of NSL. He adored his 15 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. Also survived by brother, Johnny Val ( Karen) Jensen. Boyd was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marge, his parents and three grandsons. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 27th at the Farmington South Stake Center, 695 S. 200 E. Farmington, UT. Friends may visit Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary 727 N. 400 E. Bountiful and Monday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the service at the Stake Center. Johnson II, Harold William (Bill) - Salt Lake City  
1946 ~ 2016 Harold William (Bill) Johnson II lost his battle with Alzheimer's June 17, 2016. He passed away in his home surrounded by family. Bill was born to Harold and Margaret Johnson in Ogden Utah, November 20, 1946. Growing up he loved the time he spent at his uncle's ranch in Green River, Wyoming. He attended college at Weber State University. He married his true love, Tami Rubens in July 1981. He proudly served the state of Utah as a Corrections Officer for over 23 years, until retiring as the Deputy Warden. After retirement, Bill and Tami relocated to Nevada. Bill enjoyed bowling and spending time at a nearby gold mine. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. He is loved and will be dearly missed. Bill is survived by his wife Tami Kay, his brother James A. (Jim), sister Sharon Mantyla and her husband Robert (Bob), children: Bryan and his wife Becca, Brandi, Windi, his four beautiful grandchildren Jaxon, Felina, Ramon, and Allie; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Kersey, William Alan - Salt Lake City  
William Alan Kersey "Bill" Bill passed away on June 15th in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born June 9th, 1956 to Joan Harrison and David Barrett in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was later adopted by George E. Kersey. He spent his youth in Washington, New York, Massachusetts, Vermont and New Jersey. Bill graduated from the Lawrenceville School, Lawrenceville New Jersey. He attended the University of Utah. Bill married Fonda Anderson July 20, 1985 at La Caille in Sandy, Utah. In his early career he worked construction and built beautiful homes. To fulfill a lifelong interest in criminal justice, Bill began his career with the State of Utah's Department of Corrections. He was a Deputy Warden with over 21 years of service. He was a master woodworker and created many treasured items for family members. Bill was an avid University of Utah Football fan. He was the biggest political junkie you'd ever meet. He loved music and had an extensive rock and roll collection. He took special interest in the sports and academic achievements, and musical and dance talents of his nieces and nephews. Bill had many cats and dogs throughout his life and loved them all. He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Fonda; his mother Joan H. Kersey; father George Kersey; brother James Kersey; and other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his sisters Cathy, Wendy and Diana. Bill's wish was to be cremated. A memorial service to celebrate Bill's life will be held on Friday, July 1st, 12:00 PM at Starks Funeral Parlor, 3651 S. 900 East, Salt Lake City, Utah. Online condolences may be offered at www.starksfuneral.com His family would like to thank the staff at IMC for their expert and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or your favorite animal charity.

Lepore, La von Roberts  
La von Roberts Lepore was born November 30th, 1944 and returned to her father in heaven on Friday, June 24th, 2016. La von was an amazing, loving woman who had a generous heart and was always willing to help others. She will be truly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her sister, Nellie R Harrison, and brother Melvin Junior Roberts (Lorraine), and many of her family members from both the Roberts' and Lepore's. She is proceeded in death by her parents, Melvin Henry Roberts and Elmira Aurelia (Allred) Roberts, her husband James (Jim) Lepore, her siblings Ioan Roberts, Donna Rae Roberts, Patsy Mellene Roberts, Jenice Thomas, Burnett Roberts, Iris Campbell and Alla May Bryant. There will be a viewing at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, Salt Lake City, Thursday, June 30th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 1st at 11:30 am located at the LDS Ward Chapel, 1148 West 500 North, Salt Lake City. There will be a viewing at 10:30 am prior to the funeral services. Interment at Cedarview Cemetery, Roosevelt, Utah, Saturday, July 2nd at 11:00 am.
