Audrey Beams

1914 ~ 2012
Audrey Beams, age 98, died September 30, 2012 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born August 17, 1914, in Southern England to Charles Percy and Emily Elsie Sulston Beams. Audrey grew up in Great Britain, living in Cardiff and Bristol, and was schooled in Barry, South Wales. She worked as a seamstress in England during WWII, and immigrated to the US in 1947. She worked at Raymond's Clothing from 1949-1976, first as a seamstress, then in sales. She enjoyed gardening, photography, and loved animals-especially basset hounds. She was an active member of the LDS church and had a strong faith. Survived by her niece and nephews. Preceded in death by her sister, Muriel Coxon, and her half-brother, Wesley Bowen. Funeral services will be on Saturday, October 6, at 12, noon, Wilford Ward, 3179 S. Highland drive. Burial at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Wasatch Lawn. The family would like to thank all of the caregivers that have been so generous with Audrey over the years. A special thanks to Helma-Audrey could never have a better friend.
