Billy Wayne Jenson passed away February 16, 2013 at the age of 68, in the Veterans Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. Bill was born April 15, 1944 in Loa, Utah to Wayne and Ella Jenson. He was the 5th child of 7. Being the first boy, his older sisters spoiled him with love.
Bill grew up in Wayne County where he enjoyed the outdoors and was involved with drama, music and literature. He graduated from Wayne H.S. in 1962 and began attending SUU. During college he joined the Army
and did a tour of duty in Germany. After returning to college, he met his wife of 29 years Cheryl Sperling (later divorced).They have one son William Edward. Bill graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in journalism in 1969. He worked for KSL as a broadcast journalist
, Alta Distributing as a warehouse manager, and Hill Air Force Base where he retired. Besides being an avid reader, Bill loved to hunt and fish at Thousand Lake Mountain.
Bill is survived by his son: Will (Camille), siblings: Karen, Lois, Diana (Jeff), Jeneal (Charlie), Randy (Marsha) and grandchildren: Alexis, Autumn, Miles, and Livia. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Raquel.
Bill lived a simple life and wanted his death to be the same. Per Bill's request there will be no services.
