Carma Johnson Fabert

Carma Johnson Fabert
June 6, 1933 ~ June 7, 2013
Carma died peacefully in her home June 7, 2013, with her loving husband by her side. She is survived by Donald E. Fabert and their combined eight children, 31 grandchildren, and 29 great-grandchildren.
Carma was born in Provo on June 6, 1933 to Lamar Johnson and Merline Penrod. She was raised in Springville Utah along with her six sisters in a home filled with laughter and song.
She attended Springville high after which she moved to Salt Lake where she married Thomas Nelson Swingle and raised their three children Terry (Sharon) , Diane(Dwaine), and Donna. Carma later married Merlin Mitchell of which two children were born of that marriage, Pamela (Stephen) and Shawn.
Her companion Donald E. Fabert married and worked hard to parent and provide loving support for their nine children. Don will deeply miss his wife and best friend. The many trips taken by Don and Carma, and the memories they collected over the years will provide comfort as he reflects back over their time together.
Baptized in 1949, her love of the ministry as one of Jehovah's Witnesses was the source of her happiness, along with camping, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. Her sharp wit, keen sense of humor and easy going way will be missed by all.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Harmony Hospice - especially nurses Jamie and Christi who took such good care of Carma. We also want to acknowledge Aging Services staff and case workers, along with Mckenna, Carma's aid.
Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 22, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses located at 6148 South 4590 West, Kearns. Utah 84118.
