Magna, Utah-Magna- Charles Dale Archibald, passed away peacefully at the VA Hospital November 25, 2013 while surrounded by his family. He was born April 28, 1925 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Charles S. and Larue Leishman Archibald. He married Pauline Schow, August 19, 1945 in the Salt Lake Temple and raised their three children.
Dale served in the 10th Mountain Division in Northern Italy during WWII. He lived for his family. He was a great tease and loved to sing. Dale worked as a temple worker in the Jordan River Temple. Most of all he loved his children and grand children.
He is survived by his children, Gordon (Glenda), Wendy (Dick) Harkness, Corinne Cerise, 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, 1 brother, 3 sisters.
Funeral services will be held 11 am, Saturday November 30, 2013 at the Spencer 2nd Ward, 8059 West 2700 South Magna, Utah. Visitations will be 6-8 pm Friday November 29, 2013 at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Magna, and 10-10:45 am at the church prior to services. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
