Elaine Labrum McDonald

1920 ~ 2013
Elaine Labrum McDonald was called home on March 2nd, 2013 at the age of 92, just a few weeks short of her 93rd birthday. She was born on April 17th, 1920 in Murray, Utah. She was the only daughter of George and Kathleen (Kitty) Labrum. She has three brothers, Miles and (Barbara), Richard, and Dale and (Pat). She was especially close to Alice Olsen, one of her sister-in-laws.
She attended Woodstock Elementary School and Granite High School. She was an excellent student, especially in English.
She married Ralph C. McDonald on August 28th, 1941 in the Salt Lake City Temple. She is the mother of 5 children, Richard and (Lenis), Kathie, Robert and (Debra), Monte and (Lisa), and Brett and (Diana). She currently has 22 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Elaine was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Primary organization for many, many years. She loved to cook for family, friends, and ward functions. Her famous rolls will always be remembered by everyone she served.
Elaine loved her husband and family and greatly enjoyed preparing and serving meals to them. She will be remembered as a wonderful cook, homemaker, mother, and grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, and her brothers, Richard and Miles Labrum.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 9th, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Brownstone LDS Chapel located at 6410 South 725 East, Murray, Utah. A viewing for family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment to follow at Lake Hills Memorial Estates Cemetery.
