Salt Lake City, UT-Our dad, grandpa, great grandpa, great-great grandpa, friend and neighbor, Frank Henry Lloyd, Jr., age 92, passed away peacefully at home October 21, 2013. He was born November 24, 1920 to Frank Henry Lloyd, Sr. & Irene Baer in Salt Lake City, Utah. He served in the Army
Air Corps in North Africa and Italy during World War II
. He married Edith Gregory December 27, 1942 in Cutbank, Montana. They were sealed in the LDS temple March 1957. He retired from the US Postal Service as a letter carrier, and also from the Utah State Liquor Commission. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, camping, boating, & hunting, but his greatest joy was his grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, wife Edith, sister Betty Kilpack, and granddaughter Julie Butcher. Survived by 7 children: Sharon (Eddie) Butcher, Gary (Barbara), Doug (Mitzi), Shauna (Craig) Ball, Cindy (Kevin) Pratt, Jim (Julie), Greg (Kelly); 43 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, & 11 great-great grandchildren.
Viewing on Thursday, October 24, 2013 from 6-8:00 pm at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road in West Jordan. Graveside service will be Friday, October 25, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Redwood Memorial Park with a viewing one hour prior to the service.
