Helen Beckstead Clement(1917 - 2014)

1917 ~ 2014
Helen Beckstead Clement, 1917-2014, passed away in Bountiful on Thursday, 6/26/14 surrounded by family. Born in Kemmerer Wyoming, Helen moved to Salt Lake as a child and spent much of her life in Emigration Canyon, and in the Bountiful area with husband Gilbert H. Clement, who she lost in 1999. She was active in Masonic organizations, and served as Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star and served many offices in the Daughters of the Nile. She volunteered with the Shriners Hospital to take children to medical appointments and was responsible for regular parties for the children. In their early years, Helen and Gil worked together to build a plumbing and sprinkler business and spent much time with their daughters camping and fishing in the Utah mountains. They loved to travel and had many great adventures. Helen was a strong spirit.
She is survived by daughters Patricia Clement Babbitt, Kathy Clement of San Francisco, Diane Griffiths (Ken), granddaughter Helen Seeley (Wade), great-grandchildren Brookie, Emma, Owen & Bailey. It is a miracle to go through the birth of a child, and in It's own way, it is a miracle to go through the death of a loved one. Good bye to our sweet mother, Helen Clement, what a wonderful life she lived. Sweet dreams.
