Henry Junior Jennings, loving father and devoted husband, passed away on March 2, 2013. He was born February 26, 1921 to Inez Leatha Norton and Henry Charles Jennings, in Ann Arbor, MI., and grew up with his only sibling, his sister, Bertha, in the tri-state areas of Ray, IN., Hillsdale, MI. and Toledo, OH. He enlisted in the Army at Camp Custer, MI. in 1942, and was transferred to Salt Lake City, UT.; he served in the Army Air Corp, in Germany during WWII, and was discharged in 1945, after returning to Salt Lake City. While stationed in UT, he met and married Carol Larsen on July 27, 1944. They had seven children and he joined the LDS Church and remained a faithful member throughout his life, serving in many church callings. After 31 years, Henry and Carol divorced in 1975. In 1980 he met Linda J. Rosenberger and they were married February 14, 1981; they shared 32 wonderful and loving years together. He was employed by several major US companies as a comptroller and tax analyst, and retired in 2002. Henry was preceded in death by his sister, Bertha Mawhorter, 1st wife, Carol Larsen Jennings, daughter-in-law, Patty Jennings, grandson, Patrick Jennings, and beloved son, Randy Jennings. He is survived by his wife, Linda Jennings; and his children, Mike (Carolyn) Jennings, Lee (Pam) Jennings, Vicki Baker, Kathy (Mike) Sullivan, Scott (Jackie) Jennings, Jeanine (Steven) Hayes; also by 24 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren; his brother-in-law, William Rosenberger, and nephew, Richard (Dolores) Cope, and cousins, including many from his first marriage. The family wishes to express heartfelt thanks to friends and family members who visited with him at home and during his stay at Manor Care Nursing Home, and all those who lovingly attended him to the end. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 15, 2013 at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State Street, Midvale, Utah. Friends may call one hour prior to the services. Interment, Orem City Cemetery.
