Jack Vinson Lee, 75, passed away February 4th surrounded by his loving family, having battled cancer. He was born January 31, 1939 in Caliente, Nevada, to Mable Rostron Lee and Lorin Lee.
A natural athlete and musician, Jack participated in many sports, but his talent with the trumpet was where he most excelled. Jack performed in many bands, including BYU, a nine year involvement with the Army Reserve Band, and dance bands around the state. Jack graduated from Olympus High School, class of '57, with the love of his life, Carol Peck. They enjoyed 56 wonderful years together, their marriage having been solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Their posterity includes six sons, twenty grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren. Jack was a well respected concrete contractor. Fishing was his favorite pastime. Family was dad's greatest joy and success. Jack's inviting personality, and wonderful sense of humor, made him a friend to all.
Survived by his loving wife, sons Jeff (Marianne), Todd (Glorilyn), Jon (Susan), Matt (Jannette). Brother Ken (Janae) Lee, sister Kathie (Chuck) Olson. Preceded in death by two sons, Jack Jr., and Chris, parents, and one brother.
Funeral services will be held Monday February 10th at 11:30 am. at the Draper 2nd Ward, 1617 East 12700 South, Draper. A viewing will be held on Sunday evening, February 9th from 6:00-8:00 pm at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State Street, Midvale, and at the Ward House from 10:30-11:15 am prior to the services. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens.
