Kent Fine

1946 ~ 2012
Our loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and uncle, Louis Kent Fine, age 66, resident of Riverton, Utah, passed away peacefully in his sleep after a brief battle with cancer November 17, 2012 in Sandy, Utah.
Kent was born in Maryville, Missouri March 30, 1946, the son of Marion G. Fine and Margaret C. Dupps. The Fine family moved to Utah in 1950. He met the love of his life, Judy Austin, at Bingham High School. Kent attended the University of Utah. Kent and Judy were married in 1968. Kent served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in 1972.
As a young man, he helped his father raise and train Tennessee Walking horses. He worked for Clover Club Foods for many years. For the last 27 years he worked for Granite School District as Supervisor of Custodial Services. He retired in 2010. Kent was referred to as the family public relations person as he enjoyed meeting and talking to new people. Kent also found joy in spending time with his family, camping and going on road trips together.
Kent is preceded in death by: his parents; and his father and mother-in-law, Robert and Lena Austin. Kent leaves behind a legacy of love and is survived by: his wife, Judy Austin Fine; children, Kevin (Tami) Fine, Kristin Fine, Kelly (Terry) Jensen, Kayce (Randy) Barton, and Ken Fine; grandchildren, Jennifer Fine, Tricia (Agustin) Nepomuceno, Summer (Mike) Freels, Makayla Fine (Sean Maynard), Austin Fine, Joshua Fine, Cheyanne Ashby and Cody Ashby; great grandchildren, Ana and Jazmine Nepomuceno, Marion Meyer, Aundrei Maynard and Madison Freels; sister Linda (Floyd) Hiatt, brother Bob (Jennifer) Austin; and many nieces and nephews.
Kent requested a private family service.
