Leathy LeVerne Knorr

1926 - 2013
Surrounded by her family, Leathy LeVerne Brant Knorr died peacefully in her home on March 4, 2013, at the age of 86, due to complications from cancer. She was born on August 7, 1926 in Illmo, Missouri, the third of four children, to Lester and Lena Kraemer Brant.
LeVerne graduated from high school in Illmo and during WWII worked as a telephone operator at the Malden Airforce Base, in Missouri. After the war she joined AT&T to work in St. Louis and then took a transfer to Utah where she met and married Willard B. Knorr. Together they had three daughters, Linda Knorr Kershaw, Patty Ann Knorr and LuAnn Knorr Burke. LeVerne enjoyed many friends through her work and bowling at Rancho Bowling Lanes. She always loved the mountains, fishing and vacationing with friends and family.
Preceded in death by her daughter Patty; her husband Willard; siblings Nida Crider, Woodson Brant and Virgil Brant; parents Lester and Lena Brant; and special friend Cliff Richardson.
Survived by daughters Linda Kershaw, LuAnn Burke (James Lee); grandchildren Tammy Kershaw Bigelow (Rory), Tiffani Kershaw Dean (Peter), Lewis Knorr (Anita), Jamie Knorr; 8 great-grandchildren and special friend Richard (Dick) Russell.
The Celebration of LeVerne's Life will be held at Noah's on 322 West 11000 South, South Jordan, Utah from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 16, 2013. Family and friends who have supported LeVerne and care givers please join us for joyful thoughts and memories.
