Leon passed away surrounded by his loving family at home. He is with his beloved Savior and Lord awaiting our reunion.
Leon was born in Holladay, Utah to Bertha Rose Kohler and Allen Vernon Henrichsen. He is number two of a set of twins and number seven in a family of 10. He attended Granite High School and graduated in 1954 from Olympus High School in the first graduating class. He graduated from the University of Utah and received his Dental Degree in 1965 from the University of Washington. He was known by his patients as a caring and gentle dentist. As a young man, he served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Denmark. He was known and loved for his life-long service to the Lord and his missionary zeal. He married the love of his life and eternal companion, Carollyn Joy Harward, on December 20th, 1968. His wife, their four children, Kevin (Melia), Jeff (Nadine), Chad, and Rebecca (Scott Van Valkenburg), and eight grandchildren look forward seeing him in the next life where he waits for us with passed love ones including his eldest son, Brian. Until we meet again, we love you.
There will be a viewing held on Friday, June 15th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Mt. View Memorial Mortuary, 3115 East 7800 South, Cottonwood Heights, Utah 84121. Funeral services will be at the LDS Stake Center on 7035 South Nutree Dr., Cottonwood Heights, Utah at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 16th preceded by a viewing at 9:30 a.m. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation www.huntsmancancer.org.
