Lloyd Neal Olson

Lloyd Neal Olson, 87, passed away August 19, 2013. He was born August 20, 1925 to Heber Seth and Pauline Olson in Vernal, Utah.
Lloyd married Marjean Matthews, later divorced. Together they had three children Sherrie (John) Coletti, Brent (Julie) Olson, and Paula (Robert) Barton. He later married Thail Aller Landures. They were married for 50 years and enjoyed traveling the world together until her passing on January 17, 2010. They lived in Sandy, UT, Mesawa, Japan, St. George, UT, Henderson, NV., and Springville, UT. While living in Henderson, they were sealed in the Las Vegas Temple for time and all eternity.
Lloyd served honorably in the USAF during World War II and had a lifelong civilian career with the USAF where he received numerous achievement awards and commendations.
While residing at Atria Senior Living for the past 3 years, he made many cherished friends amongst the residents and staff. He met his "sweetheart" Ann Maxwell, who recently preceded him in death. He also met the best neighbor and friend anyone could ever have, Denver Carder.
Survived by his three children; three step-children Chree Patton, Toni Guest and Dee Mower (Jim Williams); and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He had many cherished dogs in his life and leaves behind "Daddy's Girl" his beloved Bichon Frise, Maggie.
The family wishes to express appreciation to Horizon Hospice Specialists with a special thank you to his hospice nurse Katrina Dawes, for her extra care and concern.
A visitation will be held on Monday, August 26th from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. No. Las Vegas, NV., with services and interment to follow at 1:20 PM at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV.
