Lopelini Fangupo Hafoka
1955 - 2013
Lopelini Fangupo Hafoka loving wife, mother, and grandmother peacefully returned home to our Heavenly Father, surrounded by those she loved on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. Lopelini was born April 26, 1955 to Taniela Patetefa Fangupo, and Sinalelea Ahau in Kolomotu'a Tonga. She married her sweetheart Nofo Paea Hafoka on December 31, 1975 in Salt Lake; their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They had 4 children: Samuela Mafua (Angelica), Marietta Elva (Peni Taupaki), Meleane Fangaeva, and Tevita Peleketi (Liulupe), 13 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild on its way! Lopelini was an active member of the LDS Church, and held several callings in the Bountiful 6th Ward. She valued hard work, and was a great asset to PCA where she worked for 23 years. Lopelini loved her family; she enjoyed spending quality time with her husband, children, and especially her grandchildren. We miss her dearly, but her legacy of faith, strength, honesty, service, and loyalty will remain in our hearts forever. Lopelini is survived by her husband, 4 children, 13 grandchildren, brothers: Vatuniloka, Kauvakahiva, and Lopetisoni, sisters: Ana Moala, Pua Taisia, and Ilaisaane. Preceded in death by her parents, and brother Tevita Faingamoevalu. A viewing will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at the Stake Center at 750 East 620 South in Bountiful, UT from 7-10 pm. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 10, 2013 at the Bountiful 6th Ward, 550 South 200 East in Bountiful from 11am - 12pm. Procession will then travel to the Redwood Memorial Park at 6500 S Redwood Road for graveside services.
