Paul Duane Lamb

1964 ~ 2013
Paul Duane Lamb was born April 9, 1964 in Rock Springs, Wyoming to WaNeta Biorn and Duane Marcell Lamb.
He died September 30, 2013 in Salt Lake City from complications after surgery.
Paul was a complex, intelligent person who loved risk taking and activity and gardening and reading in equal measure. He had a tough exterior and a soft heart.
His final job was engineer in the oil fields, but the jobs he loved most were math tutor, counselor for troubled youth, EMT, horticulturalist, and firefighter for the Forest Service.
He battled addiction much of his life, but in the end he was clean and sober. The family wishes to thank Recovery Ways and The Haven and the many friends and associates who supported him in Salt Lake.
Paul leaves behind three children Christopher Lamb, Tabbatha Roux, and Diannah Hughs all of St. Augustine, FL, two granddaughters, Angel and Athena, his mother, WaNeta Lamb Richman of Roosevelt, UT, his sisters, Terrie Lemon of St. George, UT, and Tracie Lamb of Auburn, WA, nephew John Gutz of Salt Lake City, UT, and nieces Emily and Sarah Kwon of Auburn, WA.
We believe and fervently hope that those who went before him--Grandpa Biorn, Dad, his brother Mike, his good buddy and cousin Neal--were all waiting to greet him and take him home to heaven where there is an enormous library with a garden right outside the open doors.
The funeral service and interment were on October 5, 2013 in Manila, UT. Online condolences at
