Ronald Clyde Collard was born in Fountain Green, UT., to William Orson Collard and Lewgweneth Smith. He married Eleanor Leona Conrad in Visalia, CA. in 1947. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Clyde served with the United States Marine Corp and is a World War II veteran. He also served an LDS mission and remained devout in his LDS faith throughout his life. He was a Livestock Broker and Woolgrower and he enjoyed his lamb chops cooked to perfection! He maintained his dignity and sense of humor to the very end and we thank him for being a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle, grandpa and friend. Clyde is survived by Eleanor, his wife of 65 years; their four children Ronald Conrad, Curtis Paul (Daniele), Pamela Rae (Jerry) Sowell and Kayleen (Jon) Jonsson; his brother, Joe and sisters, Bonnie (Joe) Patterson and Betty Glad. He leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson and many nieces and nephews. Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, 7 brothers and 2 sisters. Come celebrate his life with us at Goff Mortuary; 8090 So. State St., Midvale, UT. Friday, March 1st at 11:00 a.m., where family and friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
