Stewart L. Ellington

1942 ~ 2013
Dr. Stewart L. Ellington was born on November 19, 1942 in Conway, South Carolina. He passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on April 26, 2013 due to a heart attack at his home in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He is survived by his wife, Pam; his two sons, Stew (Dana Towsey) and Price (Alcira Jaar); his stepdaughter, Jennifer Peirce (James); his sister, Dale Mills (Dan); and his three grandchildren, Safia, Aliana, and Felix Ellington. Those he leaves behind will greatly miss his presence in their lives. In his own words:
I loved my wife Pam, sons, and grandchildren very much, but was never able to express it enough. I held my first wife, Janet, in great esteem. I also loved my stepdaughters, Jenny and Sarah (again, I could never show it enough). I loved my home state of North Carolina, my adopted state of Utah, and my dear friends in both states (you know who you are). I was a lifelong and semi-fanatical University of North Carolina Tarheel basketball fan. I practiced medicine happily (for the most part) for over 30 years in Salt Lake City and felt a great deal of affection for many of my patients and colleagues (you know who you are). The end.
A gathering for family and friends to celebrate Stewart's life will take place on Friday, May 3 from 5 until 7 p.m. at the Salt Lake Country Club (2400 Country Club Drive, Salt Lake City).
