Frank, 77, our beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away April 28, 2013 to be with the Lord and Savior after an enduring battle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
He was survived by his wife of 53 years Marie Curtis, two daughters Lisa Curtis of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA and Tara Curtis and granddaughter Jazmin Curtis of Salt Lake City, preceded in death by his daughter Gina Matthies. Frank was also survived by his 3 siblings, Louise Coleman, Etowah, TN, Marie Hall and Bob Curtis, Clearwater, FL.
Frank was originally from Chattanooga, TN but relocated to Salt Lake City in 1982. He later retired from Lucent Technologies after 31 years of service. He then began house painting and did so for 20 years. His greatest love was carpentry work which he had learned from his father.
A memorial service will be held at Sonrise Baptist Church, 3550 South 4400 West, West Valley, Saturday, May 4th with visitation at 10:00 a.m. and services at 11:00 a.m.
Frank graciously donated his body to the University of Utah, School of Medicine in hopes of assisting others with COPD. Through his selfless generosity, Frank's body and organ donation may help save the lives of many others.
