William Mincher Halls

1916 ~ 2013
William Mincher Halls was born September 24, 1916 to Francis William Halls and Doris Hazel Mincher Halls. He was the 2nd oldest of 16 children. He married Grace Halls July 16, 1947 in the Idaho Falls Temple and they were blessed with five daughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his eternal companion Grace Halls, his daughters Nadine Halls Liveley and Sharlene Halls Merkle.
He served an honorable mission to Auckland, New Zealand where he had the privilege of meeting his maternal grandfather William Mincher who he was named after. Upon returning from his mission, he served in the Army Air Corp during World War II building and maintaining run-ways in Italy. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, holding many callings. He resided in Salt Lake City.
He is survived by his daughters Mary Halls Quist (Michael), Margaret Halls Layh (Phillip) Barbara Halls Barlow (James) Donald J. Liveley and Dieter Merkle son-in-laws, 13 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at the Kenwood 1st Ward, 3080 S 1765 E at 11:00 a.m. A viewing will be held Monday, July 15, 2013 at the Holladay-Cottonwood Memorial Mortuary, 4670 S Highland Dr from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 S Highland Drive. Funeral Directors: Holladay-Cottonwood Memorial Mortuary.
