Bette Miller Obituary

1930 ~ 2012
Bette Vincent Miller, age 81, having endured well, peacefully passed away April 2, 2012 from complications of pneumonia. She was a beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Bette was born May 15, 1930 to George Howard Vincent and Faye Celestia Boyter. She grew up in the Salt Lake area graduating from East High School in 1947 and then attending and working at the University of Utah. She undoubtedly cherished and enjoyed the lifelong friendships that she made in high school and at the U. On June 20, 1952 she married her eternal companion Theodore A. Miller in the Salt Lake Temple. Bette and Ted enjoyed 54 years of marriage before Ted's passing in 2007. Together they raised four children Robyn Moore (Randy), Lori Peterson (Cal), Kevin Miller (Debra) and Brian Miller (Sally).
Bette was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she enjoyed serving in the Relief Society and Primary. She had a strong testimony of and love of her Savior.
She loved working in her flower garden, spending time with her dear friends, her close relationship with her sweet sister Louise and most of all she loved being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She delighted in spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She especially enjoyed cheering on her grandchildren at countless ball games. She also enjoyed the love of her sister-in-law Rhea and her many nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her children, 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, and grandson Cody. How she looked forward to her reunion with each of them.
We thank you, Mom, for your love, example and devotion to each of us and for teaching us to endure to the end.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 9, 2012 at12:00 noon at the Winder 8th Ward, 1361 East 4000 South, Salt Lake City. Family and friends may call from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
We would like to thank the caregivers at Care Source for their sweet and tender care during Mom's last days.
