Bret Bertola Obituary
Salt Lake City, UT-Dear Bret, in Heaven, chocolate cake doesn't come in a blender. Bret Alan Bertola, age 48, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, June 22, 2014, and returned to his Heavenly Father's arms. We pray that your infectious laughter will reach us from Heaven. The precious moments we spent together will forever fill our hearts with love. Bret was born March 17, 1966, in Salt Lake City. Bret moved into the West Jordan Care Center in 1978. Our heartfelt thanks to the staff and friends for the love and support given throughout his life.
Survivors include: Harold and Karen Bertola (parents), Gina (Joseph) Glad (sister), Krista (Scott) Paré (sister). Bret was preceded in death by: Sherman and Lucile Taylor (grandparents), and Keith Bertola (grandfather). Bret will be welcomed with open arms at the gates of Heaven by his aunt, Becky (Taylor) Shutt.
Viewing will be held Friday, June 27, 2014, at 1:00pm at Wasatch Memorial Lawn Mortuary. Services will follow at 2:00 pm.

My beautiful guardian angel Bret, I miss you SOOOO much! Happy 49th birthday! I hope you are doing everything you always wanted to do. I know you are always flying high with the angels and at times, I still feel your presence. I can't express how fortunate and blessed I am that you were such a very precious and special part of my life. You taught me and everyone else so much, Bret. Love, Penny

Over the years I have seen Bret grow from a young boy to loving man. His smile was so contagious. God gave him a special gift and that was spreading love. Every time he smiled and laughed the whole room lighted up
