Ivan Bobb Obituary
Ivan Gary Bobb "Hairs" peacefully left this earth on June 9, 2012, surrounded by his family. He was born in Helena, MT to Roy & Julia Bobb (Wilcox) on April 21, 1944. He married the love of his life, Judy Rose Wilson, on July 24, 1962 in Elko Nevada. They were inseparable for nearly 50 years, raising four children in Salt Lake City. He loved his family very much and he has left a big hole in their lives, but the lessons they have learned from him will live on in their hearts and minds. He was a Master Plumber by trade but a tinkerer at heart. His tender heart never allowed him to let a stray cat go hungry or without shelter.
He is survived by his wife, mother, brother Dan (Tomoko) Becker, children Martin (Jolynn), Brent, Jim (Heather) and Annette (Troy) Turner, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by his father and mother-in-law Eldon and Dorothy Wilson, sister-in-law Dottie, and five nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, sister and brother-in-law Luana and Pat Shimmin, and their child Jessie, and his half-sister Verna.
The family will be forever grateful to the emergency and trauma units at IMC for Ivan's care and the wonderful way they attended to their needs.
A celebration of his life will be held Thursday June 14th from 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple, where friends may pay their respects. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the animal shelter of your choice.

Judy & Family, also Grannie, I just want you to know how very sorry I am for the passing of Ivan. I have good memories from years back when your kids and our kids were little especially when we all got together at Roy and Grannies. If you ever pass through Mesquite, NV, please come see me. Judy and family, I was so sad to hear of Ivan's death. I remeber how you guys used to come by and play with Jasmin, this great big man getting down on the floor to play with her, and he was so interested in what she was doing, that impressed me. My thoughts and prayers are with you. If you need anything, give me a call, I am close by.

Judy - I am so sorry that you have lost Ivan. I can see him and my dad racing up and down the streets of heaven in their old cars. I can only imagine the fun they are having together. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I know how hard this must be on you!

I met Ivan 25 years ago while I was working at Phillips refinery in Woodscross. I really got to know Ivan more after I met his beautiful Daughter Annette at a company party. (she was probably 16 yrs old) This man was completely different then the man I knew from work. He was a very gentle carring man that absolutely loved his Wife and Children. Thank you Ivan for allowing me the opportunity some 24 years ago to get to know you on a more personal level but also for introducing me to your beautiful daughter who is a life long friend of mine. To the Family, do your best to rejoice his life. He is your Angel and will always be with you. You ALL made him one proud Papa Bear.
