Dear Haidenthallers, We were so sad to hear about Jay Dee's passing at church today and were sorry that we missed his services. We will always remember the wonderful young man with that bright smile and courageous heart. The picture of him carrying the Olympic torch will always bring back wonderful memories. He was a torchbearer then and now lights the way from Heaven. Your family is in our prayers. Love the Sato family

I was on my mission in SLC and came to know your wonderful son and his precious grandmother. Because of their example I was able to have my granddaughter Karli Anderson be called and she became my companion and was also able to serve a mission. You are to be proud and pleased at the great influence they had on many missionaries. Thank you for sharing with us. We all loved the Family and Church History Mission. Our sympathy goes out to you all for your loss

We had the privelidge of serving our mission with Elder Haidenthaller and his grandmother in the Family and Church History mission in 2006. He was an inspiration to us all, as was Sister Haidenthaller, his grandmother, who took such good care of him. They are a special part of the wonderful year we spent there, and the family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

My son, Cody Jones, served in the Family History Center with Jay Dee and they became very good friends. I met Jay Dee a few times and was so impressed with his character! I have high praise for his parents, and his grandmother who so diligently assisted Jay Dee on his mission. Jay Dee taught me that no matter our lot in life, we can serve, we can learn, and we can be happy. Thank you, Jay Dee and family for the amazing life lessons you have taught through example.
