Brandon Lee Berrett, loving husband and father, passed away unexpectedly Friday leaving behind a wife and three daughters.
Brandon was born on March 12, 1980 to Grace Wagstaff and Lee Dean Berrett. Brandon was raised by his stepfather Blake Bowen, but remained close to his father and spent a good deal of time with him doing things like camping, hunting and fishing. He was a fun-loving child and was close to his Grandma Grace growing up. He was a proud big brother and always helped his mom take care of his little brothers. He and his sister Bree were very close growing up and even though he constantly teased his brothers, he always looked out for them. He graduated from Spanish Fork High in 1998. He was a single father with a 3-year-old daughter, Alexia, when he met his soul mate Melissa in 2003. Together they had two more daughters, Mackenzie and Brinlee. Brandon and Melissa were married on October 4, 2008. Together they faced challenges as a team. Even when things didn't work out the two of them came out of it strong. They were united as parents, even though he had a hard time saying no to his daughters sometimes. His daughters held a special place in his heart. He worried so much about his oldest daughter Lexi (14) as she started growing up, becoming a teenager and beautiful young woman. He loved to chase his daughters, Kenzie (9) and Brinlee (7) around the yard and wrestle with them as they squealed and giggled, as well as explore the gully near their house. Although he teased his 2-year-old niece, she still adored her "B". He loved babysitting all the kids on his day off so their moms could go to lunch.He was a friend to many, always willing to listen or offer a place to stay to a friend in need. He had a great sense of humor and could make a person laugh even on their worst day. Through his work as a car salesman over the years he made many friends. Brandon made an impression on the lives of many and will be truly missed by everyone who really knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lee Dean Berrett, and two sisters, Breeann Bowen and Rachel Mae Berrett. He is survived by his wife, Melissa, three daughters: Alexia, Mackenzie and Brinlee, his mother, Grace Bowen, step-father Blake Bowen, two brothers, Jake and Jorden Bowen, two grandmothers, Grace Rogers and Carol Berrett and many aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as a niece and a nephew and a family of in-laws who loved him dearly.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday August 16 at Walker Funeral Home (187 S Main) in Spanish Fork with a viewing at 12:45 pm. Donations can be made to the Brandon Berrett Memorial Fund at Mountain America Credit Union. Condolences may be sent to the family at; www.walkerobits.com
