Bryant, Tami, and Jeff,
All of you fought a great fight. Such courage and bravery displayed by you for all to see. We are so sorry for your loss. Not just your loss but, the whole world lost a promising, talented, courageous, young man. The world could use Bryant's shining example of love and compassion for our fellow man.
Tami and Jeff, May you have Peace of Mind knowing what a wonderful person you both raised. Our thoughts and prayers are with you now, just as they were before, and always will be.
Love,
Laurel and Ashley Smith

Jeff, words cannot describe the Courage, Strength, and Honor, Bryant had through life. The Love he portrayed through times of trial, pain, and suffering were immense. He truly was an inspiration in EVERY way. You are a WONDERFUL Father. You two were best of Buds. I AM so glad you spent every moment LIVING LIFE AS AN ADVENTURE, and JOURNEY together. A part of Bryant will always be in the Hearts of those lives he so lovingly touched.
All my love,
Leslie

My heart is full of sadness today. Bryant excelled in my year AP Lit. and Comp class even though he had missed his junior year. I was so impressed that he had to learn to write with his right hand even though he was left-handed and while it wasn't "beautiful" it was a testament to his fighting spirit. I also loved his wicked sense of humor. At the end of the year he gave me the book Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Friend, a wickedly funny and somewhat sacreligious satire of organizes religion - in honor of Christ figures in literature of course. The world was a better place because Bryant was in it. I will miss him dearly, but think of him every time I look at my bookshelf and see a Christopher Moore novel.

I went to high school with Bryant and remember him being so friendly to me and others around him. Only recently did I learn about the extent of his battle with cancer. I express my deepest condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace, Bryant. People like you are the spirit of life, and your ability to stand strong in the face of cancer and prevent it from you making the most of your life is remarkably inspiring.

Dear Tami,
I guess we knew this was coming some time, but oh how shocked and sad I feel. You are a wonderful mom and Bryant was lucky he had you.
I love you.
Love,

I'll second Mark Ferne's comments. We loved him at Westminster, for all the reasons that his family and other friends will understand. Having him as a student in 3 of my classes was truly a gift to me that I will treasure. Such a kind, perceptive young man who had so much to offer his world, if only he'd had a little more time. My heartfelt sympathy goes to his family.
Love 'ya, Bryant!!

I only knew Bryant for just a short while, and didn't even know he had a terminal illness. What a tremendous outlook he had on life. It was a pleasure to know him. God Bless those that are left behind to carry on.

Such a fine young man gone way too soon. It's funny how a young student can sometimes teach the adults so very much. "Live life until life ends"

Gone too soon, but he touched everyone's life who were fortunate to know him. Our lives are better because he was a part of it. He told me one that he felt that he had done more in his life than most people ever experienced. So much more he wanted to do - but what he did was exceptional! He fought a good fight and didn't give up! He will always have a special place in my heart.

Bryant? was an amazing young man who, despite his challenges, still learned how to intubate, bag a patient, and start an IV and do each so well, he could do them with one eye closed! (I'd think he'd laugh his butt off at the one!). If it were ever me lying on that stretcher, he is one of the few people I would want standing over me. I Love ya and I'll miss you brother!

Bryant was and is an incredible inspiration. He lived his life with purpose and such great humor. Bryant was wise beyond his years . We will miss him and we are fortunate to have had him in our lives. You have taught many lessons to many people thru your example. XO Clayton and Dana

Bryant was an inspiration to all that knew him at Westminster College. What sums him up perfectly is the fact he was attending classes in his final months just so he could learn, knowing the cancer had returned. Just heartbreaking. I will miss him. I wish Westminster, and the world, had a thousand more Bryants...

Dearest Tami and Janine,
Our thoughts are with you at this time.
Remember after the swimming lessons, Bryant would get his Power Ranger moves going? Good times.
