James L. Davis Obituary
Loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend passed away Thursday, Jan 3, 2013 surrounded by family in Murray, Utah after a brief illness.
Leon was born in Little Rock, Arkansas March 30, 1936. His family moved to Arizona when he was 18 months old, and later moved to Utah when he was 18. He married the light of his life, Bertha Traver, February 10, 1956 in Salt Lake City. He attended West High, where he and Bertha were high school sweethearts. They enjoyed traveling to find long lost relatives. They shared 46 years of marriage until her death in June 2002.
Leon enlisted in the Army and served for six years including a tour in Viet Nam. He worked at the New House Hotel, Litton, and later retired from Hill Air Force Base after 25 years of employment. He enjoyed fishing, duck and deer hunting, building models and tinkering in his electronic workshop. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He thought they were the cutest, smartest and most amazing people!
