ANTHONY POLI Obituary

Anthony Aaron John Poli Our Chovie 11/19/1987 ~ 2/4/2010 Our beloved son, fiance, father, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew and friend, Anthony Poli age 22, passed away on Feb. 04, 2010. We mourn his loss, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. But, we know he is at peace and with his Heavenly Father, and long to see his smiling face again someday. Anthony adored Candace and his two precious little girls Sommer and Makayla. He was a wonderful father. He had the biggest heart ever known and was full of life. He was fun loving, gentle, sensitive and he cared more for others than himself. He loved being outdoors. Camping, boating and trips to Fish Lake were his favorite way to enjoy his family. He lived life to the fullest, hunting and snowboarding with his friends and was an excellent fisherman who always caught the most fish. Good times were had by all who spent time with him. Anthony was an avid sports fan who could not sit in a room with a T.V. and not watch sports! He was a fan of the Utah Jazz and BYU football and no matter what, always cheered for the San Francisco 49ers with his brother Nick. He is survived by his fiancé Candace Applegate and their two daughters Sommer and Makayla; his father and mother, Edward and Patty Poli; brother, Nicholas (Brittany) Poli; sisters, Megan and Sarah Poli; grandmother, Joyce Luttrell; nephews and niece, Braxton, Seth and Chloe Poli, Brayden and Boston Applegate, and Luke Behunin; future father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Cynthia Norman and Kirk and Suzanne (their children Hailey and Braxton) Applegate; his hunting buddy, Chris (Crystal) Applegate and many loving uncles, aunts, cousins and family members. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 10, 2010, 12:00 p.m. at the Midvale East 5th Ward, 240 East 7570 South. Friends and family may call Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at the Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 S.) from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and the day of the service at the church from 10:30 to 11:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations on behalf of his daughters Sommer and Makayla will be greatly appreciated in Anthony Poli's name at any branch of Zions Bank. Poli Family,
I was Anthony's first grade teacher and I want to send my sympathy
and love to your whole family. Anthony
was a fun student and he was very smart. I loved his big smile and even
bigger heart. The world has lost a wonderful person. May our Heavenly

"A Brothers Love"

A brothers love knows no bound,
it's alot stronger then it even sounds.

A brothers love is tuff to find,
when it's found it's only kind.

A brothers love for his sister is strong,
something you learn as you move along.

A brothers love means good or bad,
even at times when all he does is make you mad.

A brothers love never quits,
it always stands tall and never sits.

A brothers love catches you when you fall,
he will wipe your tears as if they were nothing at all.

A brothers love will continue to grow,
even at times when it doesn't show.

A brothers love means being tuff,
it's not giving up, when i say enough is enough.

A brothers love means sharing what he has to give,
even if it means something really massive.

A brothers love stays in your heart,
something that can never tear apart.

A brothers love goes along way,
especially when he plays with you on a rainy day.

A brothers love is being a friend,
when your tired and at your wits end.

A brothers love is writing a poem to show he cares,
even when what your doing gives him nightmares.

A brothers love can hurt real bad,
especially when you do things just to make him mad.

A brothers love comes from the heart,
thats where it all has to start.

A brothers love can be annoying it's true,
but he only does it because he really loves you.

A brothers love has only one thing to say,
"I Love You Sis Each And Everyday".

Anthony Poli. I miss you more than words can explain. You were my best friend and brother in law. You took such wonderful care of those girls and loved them very much and were such a wonderful dad and I thank you for that. I am going to miss your smile and laugh and having you on that mountain with me hunting. You will be missed by all and I know that you will be in our heart wherever we are. Your hunting partner.

Anthony -

Words cannot begin to express how much you were loved by everyone around you. You were such an amazing person and had such an uplifting personality. I know that Chris will never forget the times you guys spent together, fishing, hunting and just hanging out. We loved you as a brother and you will always be in our hearts and thoughts. You brightened our lives by your presence, though it was to short.

We pray that god will send comfort to both of our families, and help them to get through this difficult time.

If tears could build a stairway and memories were a lane, we would walk all the way to Heaven, to bring you home again
No farewell words were spoken, no time to say good-bye. You were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why
Our hearts ache in sadness, and secret tears will flow
What is meant to lose you, no one will ever know (Anonymous).

Patty and Family,

I am very saddened to hear of your loss, my thoughts and prayers are with you Patty. I recently lost my brother in-law in my home to cancer and I share this with you only to share with you and your family a poem that someone wrote for me, it's called

COME WITH ME

God saw you were getting tired
and no cure was their to be
so he wrapped his arms around you
and whispered
"COME WITH ME"

With tearful eyes we watched you
as you passed away
and although we love you dearly
we could not make you stay.

A beautiful heart stopped beating
hard working hands at rest,
Although our hearts are broken,
God proved that he only takes the best.

Please let me know if there is anything that I can do for you.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. My heart goes out to you during this difficult time. Words could never express the pain I feel in my heart at this time…

Anthony was so full of life and always brought a smile to everyone he was ever around. I will always remember him and all the many of years I got to have him in my life. Playing night games, or watching him and Chanz play baseball. Growing up with Nick and Anthony was something I will never forget.

You will be missed, but never forgotten Anthony

in loving memory of Anthony Poli

Sitting here remembering,

The smile upon your face

And how it made the world light up

You were full of heavenly grace.

No longer can I see your face

For you are with God above

But your loving smile will always be

Tucked in my heart with love.

I know you wouldn’t want to see

Me crying the way I do,

But losing you was a part of me

And days, I can’t make it through.

Do you hear me crying?

It’s because some days I’m down

I look around for you,

But you’re nowhere to be found.

Only pictures now remain of you;

Special songs that meant so much

So if you hear me crying,

It’s because I can’t feel your touch.

Sometimes I think I see you,

On a crowded street or mall.

I then run up and call your name,

But it wasn’t you at all.

My heart still aches in sadness

And tears, oh how they flow!

What it meant to lose you,

No one will ever know.

So, if you hear me crying,

It’s something I can’t control

Just understand my darling,

When I’m again with you, I’ll be whole.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Ed, Patty and Family: Our deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family. We are so sorry to hear of your loss and will keep you in our prayers. Chance Hoover and Valerie Wiechman

When we lose someone we love
The loss seems too great to bear
God sends us friends to comfort us
To show that He deeply cares

But in the dark hours of the night
When there’s nobody else around
When we feel the saddest and loneliest
It’s there God’s love can be found

It’s like a soothing, healing balm
To soothe our broken hearts
The healing oil poured over us
That flows into every part

We can rest secure in God’s love
And know He’s by our side
He holds us when we feel as though
A part of us has died

We can know that God will listen
When we just want to talk
And when we feel we need to cry
We can share it with the Lord

For He is always waiting there
Ready with arms open wide
As we pour out the hurt within
He pours His love inside

Our Father above loves us so much
And will never leave us alone
He will not forsake us in our need
To face this on our own

He comforts us and strengthens us
And rubs us with His balm
And as the dawn breaks through the night
We’ll awake in His loving arms

I knew Anthony Poli growing up we all live just a few doors down from each other. I remember playing night games tell late and just hanging out at his house all night Chelsea, kandis, Brandon, Trenton, And Dustin we all hung out so much with Anthony we were together everyday almost. Anthony was so much fun to be around and made everyone laugh that was around. I remember one time where Me, kandis and Chelsea were over to his house and we were playing house with Megan and Sarah and Anthony dressed up with his sisters they thought that was pretty funny of him. It sure made us laugh. I also remember Anthony dared Brandon and trenton to get in trash cans and be pushed down the hill and well they did it those boys were like brothers and did everything together and when one dared the other to do something they did it no matter what it was even if it was something that they knew thay'd get in trouble for they still did it. Anthony was such a good friend to have if you didn't know him very well im sorry he was loving. caring and just so much fun to be around. His sisters loved him so much it was so cute seeing him with them and just seeing how much love they all had for one aonther. Oh another memory of growing up with him is Me, Kandis and Chelsea would knock on his front door and run away before they opened it that would piss them off so much but we would do it like 3 times a day we laughed about that we watch from a far and see what they'd do at times they'd get pretty mad and yell k girls thats enough but did we listen? nope after a whlie they wouldn't even go to the door anymore so it wasn't fun and so we stopped for a while. But im so blessed to have known Anthony Poli and to have had the chance to get to know him. Anthony you will be missed and forever in our hearts we all love you so much... R.I.P POLI

Patty and Ed,
Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow,
May looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow.
May you celebrate the good times with your Handome son.
Though his journey on earth was too short eternal life with him will not be taken away.
God bless you both and your family at this difficult time.
Please always remember your cousin is here for support if you need me.
I love you.

I'm so sorry for your tragic loss. Your entire family will be lifted up in my prayers as you turn your focus to Candace and the two girls! Candace, may God's Holy Spirit comfort you and guide your heart and mind as you raise those adorable daughters. In Christ, Karen Adolphus (one of Julie's friends)
