Barbara Johnson Paine

Barbara Johnson Paine 5/23/26 - 6/23/07 Barbara passed away after spending the last two years in Utah surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Born in Warren, Pennsylvania to Joseph and Virginia Johnson, she met her husband while attending Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pa. Her marriage to Frederick Paine lasted 54 years until his death in 2004. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary and brother, Stuart. She is survived by her three sons, Fred, Tim and Scott, four granddaughters and one grandson. Barby, as her close friends called her, was an avid golfer, skier and she and Fred traveled to many countries throughout the world. Many of their friends referred to her as Saint Barbara since she raised three boys and she had a husband who, at times, could be the biggest kid of all. Barbara and Fred lived in Pittsburgh, Chicago and then retired to Jupiter, Florida and Ligonier, Pennsylvania. Her Family would like to thank the wonderful staff at CareSource for their kindness and compassion in Barbara's last few months. A celebration of Babara's life will be held Sunday July 8, 2007 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at 2626 Murray Holladay Rd, Salt Lake City, Utah.
