Our beloved, wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, Carol Padjen passed away peacefully on March 22nd 2014 surrounded by her family and loved ones following a sudden illness. Carol was truly a special person who touched the lives of so many people throughout her journey of life. The sincere love, compassion, kindness, friendship, and warmth she expressed daily to everyone were a blessing to behold and a unique gift to this world. If there is an angel on earth, Carol is that angel and we are all better for having her in our lives. We will miss her deeply and cherish each moment we had with her. As Carol always said, "Love You More!"
Carol was born September 14th 1936 to Curtis William Whitlock and Auleen Elizabeth Olsen Whitlock in Axtell, Utah. She graduated from Gunnison High School and attended the University of Utah. Carol married the love of her life and her partner, George Padjen, in 1957. Together they raised two children, Mark and Curtis Padjen. Carol was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was always reaching out to help whomever she could. Carol's daily generosity and giving was an inspiration to all.
Carol is survived by her husband, George, her sons, Mark (Laurie), Curtis (Cristina), her brothers LaMar (Merle) Whitlock, LeVoy (Shirley) Whitlock, brother-in-law Shelby Noland, her grandchildren Emily, Lindsey, Thomas, Elisabeth, Michael Padjen, extended grandchildren Cirbie, Antonia Sangroniz, Aubrey (Josh) Merrill, Amber Finnerty, Sarah (Chris) Tuttle and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Auleen, her sister Betty Noland, and daughter in law Suzie Padjen.
A private funeral service celebrating Carol's life was held March 28th at Goff Mortuary with graveside services at West Jordan City Cemetery, 7800 S. 1300 W. West Jordan, UT 84088. Funeral Directors, Goff Mortuary. Online condolences may be offered at www.goffmortuary.com.
