Charlotte Rebecca (Becky) Gibby, of West Jordan, Utah, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at the age of 71.
Becky was born to parents Charles S. Baber and Mary Francis Baber on January 17, 1946 in Charleston, West Virginia. She was the youngest of two children, she attended DuPont High School in Charleston, West Virginia graduating in 1964.
Becky married Steve Allen Gibby on April 14, 1995. Becky and Steve enjoyed 23 wonderful years together. She enjoyed traveling to Georgia to visit her daughter Kim, and West Virginia to visit her family and friends. She always enjoyed talking about her best vacation, a sailing trip to the Bahamas, with her husband Steve, to join her brother, Stewart and his wife Donna on their sailboat.
Becky retired from Fidelity Investments to devote more time to her family, pets, and involvement in the Red Hatters and Lions Club.
She is survived by her husband Steve Gibby; her daughter Kimberly Richardson; her brother C. Stewart Baber (Donna); nieces Jenny Baber Fordham and Christine Van Horn; step daughters Julianne Price and Michelle Gibby; and granddaughter Ashley Price. She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Mary Baber and grandson, Jaycob Price.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 12:00 noon at the LDS chapel on 9376 South 4000 West, West Jordan, Utah. Viewings will be on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley Funeral Home, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway, (10600 So.), South Jordan, Utah from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday one hour prior to services. Online condolences at www.jenkins-soffe.com
